IMMACULATAM IMMACULATO COMMENDAVIT

Hail, Joseph the just man,
Virgin Husband of the Virgin-Wife,
Full of all virtues:
The Lord be with you and with your Spouse.
Blessed is the fruit of this wedlock;
Jesus by the Holy Spirit conceived.
Saint Joseph, Messiah’s Virgin-Father,
Pray for us sinners to Jesus,
Whom from the massacre in Bethlehem you saved
For the cross in Jerusalem
And with the Father’s love for our altars
You nourished Him,
That, in the warmth of the Fire of the Eucharist,
We can in the spirit of St Francis our death await.
